MIAA Eastern Mass Top 20
1) Central Catholic (13-0) - After a blow out win over Tewksbury on Friday night, Rick Nault's squad scraped out an ugly 47-43 victory over Bishop Hendricksen on Sunday in RI.  They'll host Lowell on Friday.

2) Newton North (13-0) - After surviving an upset bid by Braintree last Friday, the Tigers won their 13th last night by twenty over Dedham.

3) Catholic Memorial (10-2) - Beat St Johns Prep by one last night in a barn-burner after they smoked Malden Catholic last Friday night.  The Knights host BC High this Friday night.

4) Acton-Boxboro (14-1) - Last Friday night, A-B won 58-50 over Boston Latin in a Dual County League Showdown and then on Tuesday, the Colonials got an easy 61-26 win over Concord-Carlisle.

5) BC High (11-3) - Won easily over Xaverian on Friday night and then followed suit with a cruise-job over Malden Catholic yesterday.  Big one for Bill Loughnane's squad this Friday as they'll play at CM.

6) Brockton (10-1) -The Boxers will play Durfee on Friday with a chance to clinch the Big Three League Title.  Then, we'll see what this talented club is made of as they'll play Newton North, Mansfield, and Catholic Memorial in their next three.

7) Charlestown (9-3) -  The Townies got a big 55-52 win on the road over Fitchburg last Saturday before they avenged an early season loss to Eastie yesterday by winning the rematch over the Jets by the score of 73-65.  With Edson Cardoso's squad back at full strength, look at below, or in this case, above.

8) East Boston (11-4) -After beating Charlestown in December, the Jets lost 73-65 to the Townies yesterday in the rematch.  Malcolm Smith's club will look back into their groove as February unwraps.

9. Madison Park (12-1) -  Dennis Wilson's squad may be the D1-Surprise of the season thus far in Eastern Mass.

10. Franklin (10-3)  - After losing their first three games of the season, the Panthers have now won 10 straight after they beat Canton 64-52 on Friday and then won impressively over King Philip yesterday by a score of 79-66.

11. Mansfield (9-4) - Rematch with Franklin can't come soon enough for the Hornets.  Don't be surprised if freshman Brendan Hill ends up being the best player Mike Vaughn ever coached.

12) St Johns Prep (8-5) - Although they ended up losing by one, the Prep played well last night against CM and showed they are still a contender.

13. Weymouth (12-1) - Easy wins over Framingham and Walpole on Friday and Tuesday..

14. Lawrence (10-3) - The Lancers earned a huge win over Andover last Friday and then thumped Haverhill yesterday for their 10th win.

15) Lowell (11-3) - Got easy wins over Haverhill and Methuen on Friday and yesterday.  Red Raiders get a shot at Central Catholic this Friday.

16. Westford  Academy (13-2) - Got an easy win over Newton South last Friday night.  The Grey Ghosts have February 10th circled on the calender as they'll face A-B in a game-three rubber match.

17) Needham (10-3) - After losing to Newton North two Fridays ago, the Rockets have responded with three straight wins, including a 2-point victory over Brookline on Friday that avenged an early-season loss.

18. Boston Latin (13-3) - After losing to Acton-Boxborough for the second time this season, Latin rebounded yesterday with an easy win over Bedford.

19. New Bedford (11-3) - The Whalers won 65-51 at home over Taunton on Monday night behind 24 points from Johnathan Fortes.

20) Lexington (9-6) - The Minutemen have now won four straight after topping Watertown by 3 on Friday night and then winning by 20+ over Stoneham yesterday.
