Brewster outlasts Notre Dame Prep
- After defeating Redemption Christian Academy (NY) last night in the semifinals, Brewster Academy, in the final today, defeated Notre Dame Prep at Pembroke Academy (NH) by a score of 107-89 to move to 3-0 on the season and capture the Chip at the 2011 New Hampshire Prep Invitational. Leading the way for Brewster this afternoon was Florida State-bound shooting guard Aaron Thomas, who exploded for 36 points. Semaj Christon put up 17 points and 12 assists and was named the NHPI MVP. Mitch McGary lumbered up with 16 points and 17 boards. Jakarr Sampson had 16 points and 9 boards, while TJ Warren dropped in 12. And according to Brewster head coach Jason Smith, combo guard Joe Bramanti again played an outstanding floor game and served a crucial role in the victory...For Notre Dame Prep, Myles Davis reportedly was very impressive in lighting it up from start to finish with his deadly long-range shooting stroke...Brewster is off this week and then resumes play next weekend when they'll travel to the NE Recruiting Report National Prep Showcase in Connecticut.
