Adrian Oliveira: Ready to lead Gators |
Tom Nelson on the HC Grind
- At Brimmer & May, first-year Head Coach Tom Nelson has a junior-laden ball-club featuring a rock-solid first-five. Running the show from the point will be junior Adrian Oliveira, a talented operator out of Rhode Island who's a mid-major recruit. The other guard spot will be manned by senior combo guard Justin Turner, a crafty player out of Worcester lookin' to make some noise in his final high school campaign. In the 3-hole will be Fordham-commit Jake Fay, a 6'4 junior jump-shooting sniper who can fill it from deep and is always a threat to go off for a big game. Down-low, Brimmer will go with the combination of juniors John Powell and KJ Baptiste. Powell is a long 6'7 run n' slash' n' jump four-man while Baptiste is a high-IQ wide-body forward who rebounds the ball hard and unselfishly facilitates on the offensive end. The Gators get their season going tonight at Worcester Academy and they will also be in action this weekend at the Hoop Mountain Prep Classic and next weekend at the Scholar Roundball Classic at Babson.
