Dayshon Smith: 19 & 5 in New England debut
Lawton & Smith lead Mustangs
- Last night in Waterbury, Connecticut, Putnam Science Academy opened up its' season with a 90-72 victory over the Post School behind a statement performance from senior wing Shaun Lawton, who busted out for 19 points and 11 boards to lead the way for the Mustangs.  Another PSA ballplayer who made an impressive New England debut was junior guard Dayshon Smith, who treated for 19 points and 5 dimes.  Meanwhile, Oscar Assie threw in for 14 and 6 while Keon Scott pumped in 15. And finally, the freshmen duo of Jonathan Joseph and Tyree Robinson made an easy transition from rollin' together in the black n' gold to donnin' the Mustang red n' white...JJ went for 13 and 5 while Ty-Ro muscled up for 10 chips and 14 boards...PSA looks to move to 2-0 tomorrow night when they'll face the Masters School and then they'll really get their grind going this weekend at the HMPC.
