- Putnam Science proved itself to be a legitimate high-level team as they went toe-to-toe from buzzer to buzzer with a juggernaut Vermont Academy squad before falling by a score of 65-59.  For Vermont, now 1-1, Dominic Woodson led the way with 14 points + 11 boards + 4 blocks, while Jamel Artis scored 15 and grabbed 8 rebounds.  For Putnam Science, now 2-1, Shaun Lawton again led the way with 19 points...@OH_BOY_SHAUN is blowing up! Put the tuition check-book away...South Kent defeated Worcester Academy by a score of 84-75 to move to 4-0 on the season.  Chris Thomas led the scoring with 21, Ricky Ledo showed his versatility with 8 assists, and Isaac Freeman had 12 points, 9 boards, and 5 blocks.  For Worcester, sophomore Matt Cimino went for 17 off 5 trey balls, while Rene Castro and Ausar Madison showed well in the back-court.  South Kent is back in action tomorrow at the #HMPC when they'll face Tilton in a Pay-Per-View Heavyweight Clash at 1:15pm, while Worcester plays the last game at IMG Academy at 630pm....Day Three of the #HMPC is taking place today, and tomorrow, the HoopRootz Spaceship will be at Marianapolis for the #HMPC Grand Finale

Other New England Games
- New Hampton pulled away in the final portion of what was a tight game throughout to defeat Winchendon by a score of 79-69 ...Zach Auguste had 17, Evan Manning & Jared Terrell each with 15, Mike Auger 12, and Noah Vonleh 7 points + 15 rebounds.  New Hampton moves to 3-1 on the season and they next face Bridgton Academy on Monday night in New Hampshire...The Rivers School scored an opening-night 65-54 upset win on the road over Tabor Academy behind 18 from sophomore Andrew Kaufmann, 16 points and 10 rebounds from Nick Lund, and 14 points + 9 assists from sophomore point guard Carlin Haymon...Up in Vermont, Kimball Union beat the Masters School 67-43 to even their record at 1-1.
