Quick Monday Blitz

Zach Auguste: 25 pts + 20 rebs on Monday
Brewster moves to 8-0
- Brewster Academy blew out Rise Academy Monday night by a score of 102-57 to move to 8-0 on the season.  Mitch McGary, Jakarr Sampson, and Jalen Reynolds "combined for 45 points (19/28 from field) and 24 rebounds" (Josh Lee) to lead Brewster while Joe Bramanti had 14 and Semaj Christon dropped 10 dimes.  The Brewster Invitational is set for this weekend with the Brew Crew, Tilton, MCI, and Notre Dame Prep set to compete..Also on Monday night, Bridgton Academy won on the road in a OT thriller at New Hampton to move to 5-2 on the season.  Malik Nichols 21, Amir Garrett 17, Darrick Wood 15, Jarryn Skeete 11..For New Hampton, Zach Auguste and Noah Vonleh each had their best games of the season.  Auguste had his motor on high and when that is the case, he is very good.  He had 25 points + 20 boards and had a half-dozen or so above-the-rim, highlight-reel plays.  Meanwhile, Vonleh went for 24 + 10 boards, hitting four treys and coming through with a few HLR plays of his own, including a second half two-hand put back dunk over two Bridgton players who shall remain nameless.  Vonleh also, for the first time, showed the ability to use his length defensively to disrupt a big time perimeter player as he held AG to 4 in the second half after he'd put up 13 in the first.  New Hampton is now 3-2 for the year and they'll play the Harvard JV tomorrow night in Cambridge before playing Proctor Academy in the first round of the Blackburn Invitational at Worcester Academy on Saturday.
