Saturday Synopsis

Nick Stauskas: Led St Marks with 21 in big season opening win on the road
 Hoop Mountain Prep Classic Day 3
Brimmer & May (0-2) lost to Mack Prep out of North Carolina by a score of 74-58.  After dropping 24 in the opener, Adrian Oliveira had 28 this morning in the defeat...Putname Science Academy moved to 3-1 on the season with 74-61 victory over Satellite Academy (NY).  Dayshon Smith led the scoring with 20...Vermont Academy is now 2-1 after they took down Manhattan Sports Academy by a score of 78-65...Marianapolis is now 2-0 after they blew out Proctor Academy (NH) this afternoon by a score of 71-37...And Bridgton Academy is now 3-2 after they dropped a 96-95 OT nail-biter to Mont Clare Academy in a contest in which Darrick Wood went for 34 and Malik Nichols added 20.  Bridgton travels to New Hampton on Monday.


Other New England Games
Brewster Academy moved to 7-0 on the season with a 121-51 blow-out win over Leadership Academy.  Leading the way for the Brew Crew was Xavier-bound Jalen Reynolds, who went for 26 points and 11 rebounds.  Meanwhile, TJ Warren tallied 21 points on 9-13 shooting and Semaj Christon scored 9 with 9 dimes, while Mitch McGary netted 16 points (7-10 FG), Gilbert McGregor had 17 points, Joe Bramanti had 10 assists, and junior John Edwards scored 13.  Brewster goes for 8-0 on Monday night against Rise Academy before they host the Brewster Invitational next weekend, which by the way, is completely loaded.  The semis on Friday night (12/9) will feature Brewster facing MCI at 5pm followed by Notre Dame versus Tilton.  Then, the championship game will be be played at 2pm on Saturday (12/10).  Tilton vs Brewster I potential...St Marks opened their season with a big 67-52 win on the road against Hotchkiss...Nick Stauskas led the way with 21 while Kaleb Tarczewski added 16.  St Marks will play the second game of their season on Wednesday on the road against BB&N...Wilbraham & Monson evened their record at 1-1 with a 2 point win over Blair Academy down in NJ.  They play St Benedict's (NJ) tomorrow.
