State of the Union Address: MIAA EMASS D2

Aaron Calixte has the Orange n' Black on the hunt
MIAA D2 Dirty-Dozen headin' into Christmas
1) New Mission (3-0) - Damion Smith has transferred in to New Mission HS from La Lumiere Prep in Indiana.  When and if he puts on a Titans uniform, it'll be awfully tough to keep them from the top spot, but even without, New Mission is the fastest team in the state and they are the no-nonsense favorite for the Cup.

2) Stoughton (3-0) - Aaron Calixte leads a dangerous stable of Stoughton guards out onto the Trail towards the Cup.

3) King Philip (1-1) - They have the State's top player in Jake Layman and an able-bodied lieutenant in pogo-stick forward Tykei Hallman.

4) North Andover (1-0) - In one of the most basketball-crazed towns in Eastern Mass, the Canucks have their best squads in recent memory.

5) Wellesley (2-1) - The Raiders dropped their opener to Milford before responding with two blow-out wins.  They'll get the chance to return the favor to Milford tomorrow as they play the 2nd of a home & home.

6) Brighton (3-0) - Malik James has led Hugh Coleman's squad out to a 3-0 City League start.

7) Wakefield (2-0) - Upstart squad out of the gates with 2 W's.  The Wake's got a good one in freshman Bruce Brown.

8) Melrose (2-0) - Sophomore sensation Jalen Adams and his mates are 2-0 and have Mel-Town buzzin'.

9) Reading (1-1) - Kenny Reed and Jerry Ellis-Williams form a dangerous inside-outside combination for the Rockets.

10) Oliver Ames (2-0) - Nick Bruha and his crew has Easton talkin'.

11) Beverly (2-1) - In the upset of the year thus far, Beverly knocked off Lynn English earlier this week and in one motion declared themselves in on the hunt for the Cup.

12) Belmont (2-0) - Up to their winning ways again with a 2-0 start, we'll see what happens once they get into the meat of their schedule.
