Live-July Notebook Two

July 6 - Live-July Day One
- The BABC Freshman finished off Pool Play this morning with a 81-54 dismantling of the Cincinnati Lakers.  BABC wraps up Pool Play at 3-0 and now advances to the Championship Bracket.

- New England Playaz 17s opened up Pool-Play at the Adidas Invitational by thumping the Compton Magic 56-38.  

- Gabe York of Orange, CA has taken Louisville off his list; therefore, Pitino could very well turn up the heat on Kris Dunn.

- According to Quags Kline of The Recruit Scoop, Ricky Ledo will play for Puerto Rico next Summer in London at the Olympics.

- Lebron James Camp Update - The players are broken up into eight squads: VCU, Butler, Duke, UNC, Kentucky, Michigan St, UConn, and Syracuse.  Below is a preview of the teams with New England Players.

VCU - Nerlens Noel and Wayne Selden are teammates on this squad.  Noel will play down low beside AJ Hammons of Oak Hill Academy and Canadian stud Anthony Bennett.  On the wings for VCU will be Selden, Duke-bound Rasheed Sulamoin from Houston, another Caniad in Andrew Wiggins, and Indiana's Deveonte Smith-Rivera.  VCU's floor-general will be top-2014 PG Emmanuel Mudiayof Texas, who is teammates with Isaiah Austin at Grace Prep and Texas Pro. 

Kentucky - Ricky Ledo will play SG for Kentucky.   Philly's Amile Jeffersona and New York's Dejuan Coleman will play down low.  At PG will be the spectacular Rodney Purvis (Louisville-bound), who is more of a 2 but will play PG at times.  Rounding out the first five at SF will be Arizona-bound Grant Jerrett from SoCal.  Coming off the bench for Kentucky will be Hampton HS and Boo Williams teammates Anthony Barber (PG) and Troy Williams (SF), Chicago's Steve Taylor, (Jabari Parker's teammate at Simeon and Mac Irvin Fire), combo-forward Isaiah Hicks of NC, and PF Marc Loving of Ohio.

Syracuse - Noah Vonleh is on the 'Cuse.  At forwards, they will start a bruising duo of Brewster Academy-bound TJ Warren and Memphis-beast Jarnell Stokes.  In the middle will be red-hot recruit Chicken Knowles of Houston.  The starting-five will be rounded out by a backcourt of Houston's J-Mychal Reese and Chicago's Kendrick Nunn.  Vonleh, Prince Ibeh, and South Carolina's Brice Johnson will mix in on the frontline while Jordan Price and Shaq Johnson will in at the guard spots.

Wayne Selden - 6'6 with a 6'10 wingspan
Noah Vonleh - 6'8 with a 7'3 wingspan
Nerlens Noel - 6'11 witha 7'3 wingspan
Ricky Ledo - 6'6 with a 6'7 wingspan
