Middlesex Magic Drown Gm7 Sharks in 1st Rd

In the 1st Rd of Bracket Play at the 17u Showcase, the Middlesex Magic went up against a tough Game7 Sharks squad which has made a name for itself this summer.  After not playing their best basketball during pool-play, the Magic knew they would have to step up their game to deal with the Sharks.  If Mike Crotty was looking for one of his troops to step up and lead the charge, Connor Mahoney was more than happy to oblige.  Mahoney erupted for 26 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Magic to a 65-51 win which propels them to the 2nd Rd.  Also stepping up with big games for Crotty were PG Aaron Davis, who had 14 points with 11 dimes and Joey Glynn, who accounted for 14 points and 12 backboard-sweeps.  Stay tuned as the Magic make a run at the Showcase Cup.
