Playaz 17s Reach Final 4 at Best Buy Classic in Minny

Playaz Go 4-1 in Minnesota
- While BABC was down down at Peach Jam, the Five Star # 18 New England Playaz Juniors were out in Minneapolis, Minnesota playing on the Adidas Circuit at the Best Buy Summer Classic.  The Playaz were placed in Pool C with two very tough squads in the Illinois Wolves and the Five-Star #11 Houston Defenders, who feature the top PG in the Class of 2013 in Andrew Harrison and his twin-brother Aaron along with ESPN 2012 #22 Center Shaq Cleare.

In their first game, the Playaz went up against the Warriors and came out with a 12 point-win, 56-44.  Next, they took down the Houston Defenders by a score of 56-51 to finish pool-play at 2-0.  In Bracket Play, the Playaz enjoyed a first round bye before defeating Ajays Elite in the Sweet 16 and Double Pump in the Quarters.  In the Final Four, the Playaz dropped a tough one to Five-Star #7 Indiana Elite, led by Indiana University commits Yogi Ferrell, Hanner Perea, Ron Patterson, and Jeremy Hollowell.

The Playaz are currently 7-3 on the Summer, with 2 of their 3 losses coming against teams ranked in the top-ten of the Five-Star Rankings.  Later in the week, the Playaz will head to Vegas to play in the Adidas Super 64.
